More Paperific Punch Art

So I thought I would share these bookmarks of Sesame Street Characters.  Aren't they cool!  I do love Punch Art and I am thinking I might do more of these for pressies for my oldest's friends.

All made from Stampin' Up! punches and stuck to the giant paperclip with Sticky Strip.  The giant Paperclips came from Big W.

All I have used here is the 1 3/4" Scallop cirle punch and a variety of circle punches and the large oval punch, and the Beautiful Wings embosslit.  All very easy and I made heaps in one night, so they didn't take long at all.
Enjoy.
I should add that these were CASEd from other very creative people
but they were so cute I couldn't resist.

Angel Build a Bear

Whilst I haven't been writing on my Blog I have been creating!  So I had to share this really fun Angel Build-a-bear with wings.  Perfect for a little girls party which what we have again this weekend.  So having 2 young girls means you go to a lot of "girl" parties!!  The wings are made with the beautiful wings die and then embossed.  I used some liquid pearls to add the rhinestones on to make the tiara.   The card was a hit especially as it was a build-a-bear party!  Enjoy and have a great day.

Punch Art for Paperific

So I promised some pictures of my projects from Paperific.

I found a card featuring a thong on the web and thought that for a teenager it would suit, so I thought that the Baja Breeze ribbon was perfect and then the Antique Brads suited the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper - gee it is so nice, I am so glad it is still in the new catalogue.  If you have haven't seen the new catalogue yet, click on the picture on the right and it will take you to an online copy, otherwise there are lots of ways to receive one free!  Contact me.

I had lots of fun using idea's from the internet.  If you can't tell my theme was "kids cards", as I have 2 small children I attend a lot of birthday parties and have to make a lot of children's cards.  I personally like the M & M card as they are so my favorite chocolate - apart from maybe Rocky Road Cadbury Blocks or maybe Lindt balls - maybe I just love chocolate! :)

Angry Birds are such a favorite with 7-10 year old boys and actually really easy to make with punches.  I also really like the bee as he is using the new googly eyes from the new holiday catalogue.  The "10" card is using the new Typeset Alphabet Bigz die and also the owl punch which is always fun.

Paperific is always fun and informing people that have never heard about Stampin' Up! and seeing their faces as we introduce them to another "world".  I hope you attended the show, if not it will be on again next year.  I will keep you posted on the dates.  Enjoy the cards.

Exciting Week Ahead

So are you going to Paperific?  It is on from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September and will be a fun (expensive - hee hee) time out for all papercrafters.  If you are going - come and say Hi as I will be working at the Stampin' Up! stand on Sunday.  See the link for details Paperific.  I will post photos from my poster and make & take here shortly.  I had some fun making lots of kids cards using punch art from our vast array of punches, it was fun.

So what else is happening, well where do I start?  The retiring list of products for Stampin' Up! is out and closes on Friday - so if you want something that is not in the new cataglogue you best get in quick, click on the box on the right so you can see what is going.  Be aware that some products have already sold out, also that there are two lists, one for stamp sets and one for accessories.

So on Saturday it is a start of a new catalogue and it is amazing, filled with so many new products, stamp sets and exciting accessories.  If you would like to have a new cataglogue contact me but I will also post the link here once the 1st September arrives - exciting.

To also go with that we have a new version of the "mini" catalogue out as well.  But things have changed, the "mini" is now called the "Holiday" cataglogue and will be available for 6 months from 1 September and is full of exciting holiday products that are amazing.  I have had a play with some and the "Sugar & Spice" embossing powder so embraces the Christmas feel, it is amazing but also fun at the same time.

So I am thinking about running some Christmas card classes starting in September and running one each month for Sep, Oct, Nov so that you will have your Christmas cards completed in time and not at the last minute like we usually do.  If you are interested please let me know and if there is enough interest will start them up for you.  I know I am interested, Christmas always seems to come around so fast every year, hopefully I can help get you organised a little bit this year.

Enjoy your week and don't forget to say Hi if you are coming to Paperific on Sunday. xxx

Ladies Night

It was a fun night where I spoke to a lot of very nice ladies who actually enjoyed the amazing projects on my table.  I must thank my Stampin' Up "sister" Flick Fernandez  for a loan of some amazing projects.  So here are some pictures of the stand and also a couple of the notepad's from Kerry's papercrafts, I just used the basic instructions and used lots of little scraps that were left over from previous projects, all those butterflies cut via sizzlet and only used 1, all the times I have been on holidays and cut out shapes etc. all of them were very handy in decorationg the covers - so what I learnt - always keep your scraps or "extras" you never know when they will come in handy.  Everybody who came to the stand received a decorated magnet peg with my business card, for their fridge so that was a very effective business marketing tool.

The photos show all the wonderful things on display - by the end of the night the posters had fallen on my head enough times I had had enough...lol  I sincerely hope everyone had fun on the night a I know I did.

Birthday Card

So I had to do a card for my Sister-in-law today and really wanted to use the Mixed Bunch set as I love the butterflies that you can make using the Blossum Punch especially when they have been heat embossed.  So as I was running low on Whisper White card stock so I had to use scraps and woo hoo I found the "frames" left over when using the framelits and I loved the results, so using the Hostess set Precious Butterflies for the words, the Finial Press embossing folder using the Big Shot this is what I created.  Then by adding the Rhinestones I thought it added that little bit of extra "bling".  She really liked it which was really cool.  Enjoy.

Child's Birthday Card

5 year old Birthday Parties are all the rage in our house - so tried a lollipop look today which went down well with the Birthday Girl.  Used the 1" circle punch with some Snail to get the effect then wrapped some DSP up to make the stick and tied with the Daffodil Taffeta 1/8 ribbon, then used the Alphabet die for the name and Number 5.  Enjoy

Thursday, June 7, 2012

Well hello everyone, yes I know I haven't been on for a long time so no excuses.  Here we go:

Last week I spent a few days with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators at our annual Convention in Canberra this year.  I had an absolute ball spending time with my Stampin "Sisters", a group of like minded people spending time together is so much fun.  So to show you how much fun here are some photos.

So we have J, Chris McLucas, Felicity Fernandez, Judy Male, Gail Kirby and I all having fun - especially J & Chris.

I had to add a photo of Shelli Gardner (Co-founder & Owner of Stampin' Up!) with me, she was very gracious sitting there for at least an hour letting people have their photo taken and she kept on smiling.  It is always nice to have a conversation with someone you admire for their commitment and also their down to earth manner, it was a privilege.

There were so many swaps as well that were just awesome so I have to share mine first.

These are the characters of Angry Birds that I cased from Niki Toll.  A lot of people's reactions were "My son will love this", some had never heard of the Angry Birds and were a little reluctant to swap but most were excited by the bookmarks so I was happy. (I know the photos are not the best but I forgot to take pictures before swapping - silly!)
So some of the swaps I saw were these, I have more to share and promise to do so.

So check out the promotions for June/July on the side and please contact me if you would like to place an order or host a workshop.

Bye for now,

Denise xx

Build - A - Bear

So I decided to get creative again - the build-a-bear dies were calling out to me.  We had to attend two birthday parties on the same day so out came the die and I made the same card for both little boys.  I used the Ornament punch for the bandana and the hearts from the Owl punch for the tie.  The sky was given the special effect by sponging a scallop circle, the sand and the sea were torn to give them special effect.

Build - A - Bear

Hi there.  I had a lot of fun very late last night making birthday cards for a party celebration today.  The build a bear set unfortunately is not available in Australia but it is so cute.  So have a look what I created - fun isn't it?  The skirt was made using the extra large scallop punch and then scored across and folded.  The pearls then give it that extra bit of elegance a ballerina always has.  The boy card was made very late and didn't quite turn out how I wanted but I really do think he is cute.  The Brights DSP is fantastic for projects like this.

I do hope my daughter's friends loved their cards.

A Promised Card!

Well I have a new nephew, his name is Jabari and I struggled to find a card that seemed just right, so I thought I would personalise it with the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet and it to me turned out very simple but effective.  I have used the blender pen to colour in the teddy bears from the Baby Bundle set.

Wedding Card

I had a bit of fun with this one.  Cased from Rachel Capps I changed it just slightly using different colours( Baja Breeze, Night of Navy & Sahara Sand), ink on the square lattice embossing folder for the gentlemans shirt, pearls on the tiara and the elegant lines embossing folder for the dress.  I was impressed with the result and I hope Kellie and Leigh enjoyed it as well and brought another smile to their face after a beautiful wedding.

Zarha's Birthday

My neice turned 3 and I needed a very quick last minute card.  So it was very quick, using the top note die, elegant lines embossing folder, butterfly embosslit, rich razzelbery satin ribbon, in colour card (Blushing Bride), Regal Rose and Rich Razzlebery butterflies and the black staz on ink on the Regal Rose cut out with the Itty Bitty Punches flower.  A very simple but effective card in 5 mins.

I am the card maker for the family so if I am making one card, I usually have to make at least one more.  So this is the other card I made for Zarha.   Using the Pony Party stamp set on Whisper White stamped in Staz on ink, Perfect Plum cardstock with Blushing Bride for the background and the Butterfly embosslit.  The background has been punched with the Eyelet Border punch to give a nice effect.  The card was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder through the Big Shot which is so cool - you have to get one if you don't already!  Basic Rhinestones finished off the butterflies.  Markers from retired stock were used to colour the Pony in, and once again the Staz On ink with the Calendar Alphabet & Numbers was used once again to write her name, cut out with the Itty Bit Punch flower as well.   Kids by 3 usually can recognise their name and it makes the card just that little bit more special with their name on it.

Both cards were last minute and didn't take that long to make and made Zarha's day.
