Christmas Stamp Class - Inspirational Papercrafting
Get your creative hats on - lets get ready for Christmas! We are going to do a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack coming up 16th and 30th October. What's a Stamp-a-Stack you ask? Well you get shown a technique, you then make 10 of the same cards using that technique and there are other crafters in the room making 10 cards as well, when you have finished you swap your cards and then you have 10 different home made Christmas Cards all in under 2 hours! How wonderful is that. The Class will be at the Chelsea Heights Community Centre in Thames Parade Chelsea Heights and will be from 1pm to 3pm. Would love you all to come along. Cost is $22. Visit my website for more information. http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/deniseszabo/events

Build - A - Bear
So I decided to get creative again - the build-a-bear dies were calling out to me. We had to attend two birthday parties on the same day so out came the die and I made the same card for both little boys. I used the Ornament punch for the bandana and the hearts from the Owl punch for the tie. The sky was given the special effect by sponging a scallop circle, the sand and the sea were torn to give them special effect.

Punch Birthday Party
Today I worked my first Birthday Party for 12 year olds. We did two projects. The post - it note butterfly cased from Becky Roberts and my version of the Little Miss Backsides from Ellen Kemper. The girls had a lot of fun and loved the projects. Hope you love too.

Build - A - Bear
Hi there. I had a lot of fun very late last night making birthday cards for a party celebration today. The build a bear set unfortunately is not available in Australia but it is so cute. So have a look what I created - fun isn't it? The skirt was made using the extra large scallop punch and then scored across and folded. The pearls then give it that extra bit of elegance a ballerina always has. The boy card was made very late and didn't quite turn out how I wanted but I really do think he is cute. The Brights DSP is fantastic for projects like this.
I do hope my daughter's friends loved their cards.

A Promised Card!
Well I have a new nephew, his name is Jabari and I struggled to find a card that seemed just right, so I thought I would personalise it with the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet and it to me turned out very simple but effective. I have used the blender pen to colour in the teddy bears from the Baby Bundle set.

Paperific, Picture to Page and also the Craft and Quilt Show. There is also a card making class starting at the Chelsea Heights Community Centre. Next class is Sept 18th. 1pm to 3pm. Will post more tomorrow as well as well as a flyer. So thanks for visiting and I promise that I will update more often!

Wedding Card
I had a bit of fun with this one. Cased from Rachel Capps I changed it just slightly using different colours( Baja Breeze, Night of Navy & Sahara Sand), ink on the square lattice embossing folder for the gentlemans shirt, pearls on the tiara and the elegant lines embossing folder for the dress. I was impressed with the result and I hope Kellie and Leigh enjoyed it as well and brought another smile to their face after a beautiful wedding.

Zarha's Birthday
My neice turned 3 and I needed a very quick last minute card. So it was very quick, using the top note die, elegant lines embossing folder, butterfly embosslit, rich razzelbery satin ribbon, in colour card (Blushing Bride), Regal Rose and Rich Razzlebery butterflies and the black staz on ink on the Regal Rose cut out with the Itty Bitty Punches flower. A very simple but effective card in 5 mins.
I am the card maker for the family so if I am making one card, I usually have to make at least one more. So this is the other card I made for Zarha. Using the Pony Party stamp set on Whisper White stamped in Staz on ink, Perfect Plum cardstock with Blushing Bride for the background and the Butterfly embosslit. The background has been punched with the Eyelet Border punch to give a nice effect. The card was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder through the Big Shot which is so cool - you have to get one if you don't already! Basic Rhinestones finished off the butterflies. Markers from retired stock were used to colour the Pony in, and once again the Staz On ink with the Calendar Alphabet & Numbers was used once again to write her name, cut out with the Itty Bit Punch flower as well. Kids by 3 usually can recognise their name and it makes the card just that little bit more special with their name on it.
Both cards were last minute and didn't take that long to make and made Zarha's day.

Charlton Flood Fundraiser
We are having a fundraiser to raise money for the Charlton Flood Relief appeal to help rebuild the community after the devastating floods. Charlton is my home town and my parents are still there, they were not affected but many more families were, so this is my little way to make a difference. So have a read of the following flyer and see if you are interested - if you cannot attend let your friends know they might want to come along. Thanks for reading. (it hasn't come out as pretty as the flyer but the information is there).

Picture to Page
I am busy doing some cards for the Picture to Page show at Box Hill on this weekend and I got excited about a card I have made. It wasn't cased, it was just having some fun and I think it is pretty cool. Made with Perfect Plum, Pear Pizazz, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and Rich Razzelberry cards and ink, accessory pearls, scallop punch, 1 1/4 inch circle punch, ornament punch, 3 blossums punch (retired), stamping wheel with so swirly wheel, Butterfly emblosslit and the Textured Impression Embossing Folder.
It is fun making cards, but doing a blog is hard work and I still have so much to learn.
Don't forget Sale-a-Bration is almost over, it is where you can earn FREE stamp sets, you have until the end of March to place your order.

Christmas Cards
Well now that I have started my blog I had better keep contributing - these are the christmas cards that I managed to make, the small ones are a 2 minute card designed to be made in bulk that we gave to every child in my girl's room at creche (we made a total of 51!) with a last minute run to the shops to get more chocolate.
The red & white cards were very well received and I even received an order for 30 of them which I am told was very well received. They were made using the elegant lines embossing folder, organza ribbon, ornamental heart punch, Delightful Decorations stamp set, Hemp twine, stampin' dimensionals, snail adhesive, cherry cobbler and whisper white card stock.
These were made using whisper white cardstock, jolly holiday DSP, and delightful decorations stamp set, ornament punch and snail adhesive.
A simple card that was very quick and easy to make. Lots of jolly holiday DSP, whisper white and cherry cobbler cardstock, ornament punch, Contempo christmas stamp set and snail adhesive.
Enjoy
